Clothes Dyer

I searched this one and got nothing. Who has a plan I can have to make DW a clothes line/hanger/dryer thing to hang from the ladder or off an awning or window awning. Needs to be simple, a mechnical genius I am not. I do however appreciate your help.

Health Insurance For Mexico

We are Canadian, looking for 6 month's of health insurance to cover us through the US and Mexico. What and who are you using? I recently had a blood pressure issue that is now under control but the premiums seem to have jumped dramatically since that occurrence.

RE: El Caracol Sold

Chris. What's causing the increase in pricing? I have a couple of friends that used to sell time share in Cabo. Last time I talked to them they were not speaking highly of the current market.

RE: Suspend Ontario auto ins. while in Mexico?

I know my Insurance Company (Wayfarer) won't do that. We had the same deal while in BC. PM me if you find someone who does.

RE: Monaco vs. Holiday Rambler

Same motor home. Neptune equals Cayman, Knight equals Ambassador, Diplomat and Endeavor. At the very high end Monaco goes a little higher.

RE: Looking for Opinions

Forget about the difference in fuel pricing. You will get better mileage with the pusher, more torque, higher GVW, yes it will be quieter. You probably also pick up an exhaust brake. That's worth the $5,000 on its own. I would grab it quick.
Good Luck!

RE: When ya leaving? Where ya crossing?

This year instead of reading about all of your travels we will be joining you. Leaving Ontario as of end of September for a family visit to Alberta, then down the west coast. We are thinking the west coast of Mexico as well. We are not noted for planning too well or following our plans, could wind up checking out the ruins. Either way, we are getting excited!!

RE: "Rocking MH"

Back to the shocks for a minute. I took off the Bilstiens off my previous coach and replaced them with Koni. Huge difference! Once again, they said my Bilsteins were "good"

RE: Black Tank is Plugged...Suggestions Please

Thanks for all your suggestions. The problem is solved. While I worked the snake from the business end one of our neighbors in the park worked their snake on the toilet end. After about 20 minutes it finally let loose, yes I was sitting there looking up when it happened, yes I was covered in XXXX. Thanks for asking.

RE: Black Tank is Plugged...Suggestions Please

Update on my situation. After a drive last night got a couple of cups of yicky brown liquid, about the same this morning. I counted last night, here are three 90 degree elbows between the tank and the knife valve so nothing is easy.

Black Tank is Plugged...Suggestions Please

I think my black water tank is plugged. we just moved into our coach, thought Sunday would be a good day to make sure our tanks were clean.
Monitor showed half full (half empty?), hooked up the black water flush, opened the valve, and turned on the tap,I can hear the water in the tank. Nothing happened at the valve. A couple of drips, no more. Tried again. Same thing. Monitor now says 3/4. Bought some stuff for septic and RV tanks to see if I could get stuff moving. Left it for a few hours, pulled the valve, got a cup or so, left it over night, another cup. Added another package of the Septronic. The coach had sat for about a year before we got it so I'm thinking it's possible it was never drained properly and just all dried out. When I close the knife valve I can feel like its pushing against some #2. Do I just give the chemical some time to do it's thing? Suggestions please.

RE: Pressure Wash Rubber Roof

I'm with Double Checker. In our detail department all RV's get the pressure wash treatment. I carefully used it on the roof of our Dutch Star the other day with great results. Key word, Careful. Older RV's no, but the new ones with the better decals or full body paint, why not?

Help! 02 DutchStar Mdl 3852

First trip in our Dutch Star, and we are in love. I do not have a brochure and can't seem to find spec's. I was sure that I would find that info in the coach somewhere but not so. Does some one have it? How big are the tanks? I'd love a copy of an 02 Dutch Star brochure if some one has one. Thank you in advance.

RE: Seeking Help with Purchase Decision

We too are preparing to hit the road full time. We have both been in the RV industry for over 30 years and have been in a lot of nice coaches. We just upgraded to a new to us 02 Dutchstar. We never even considered new. We only looked for well loved used. I got a good deal on the coach and have spent about $6,000 in parts and LABOR (I'm a Klutz) getting it ready to go (3,000 of that was 6 new Michelin's). I think the least expensive way to enjoy an RV is find a well looked after quality coach and then look after it like it's your baby. There is always a market for a good used well cared for coach. There's always a lot more people with $50,000 than with $100,000. Did I stress good quality and well cared for?
